CST and COACH Merger

CST and COACH Merger

We are delighted to announce the merger of the Canadian Society of Telehealth (CST – SCT) and COACH: Canada’s Health Informatics Association.

Our two organizations share a vision for the critical role of Telehealth and Health Informatics in transforming Canada’s health care system to meet the increasing demands being placed on it. By joining forces we are able to take maximum advantage of our natural synergy and economies of scale to better serve our members, stakeholders and the broader Canadian Health Sector.

The merger will officially take place April 1st, 2010, and transition planning is well underway. There will be one membership process beginning in March 2010 and one conference May 30 - June 2, 2010. The merged organizations will be known as 'COACH: Canada's Health Informatics Association'; ..now including Canada’s Telehealth professionals. We need everyone’s continued participation and membership as we grow together.

Within COACH, the Canadian Telehealth Forum including its Special Interest Groups will represent the Telehealth community. Watch for more exciting announcements as CTF is fully launched in the months ahead.

Together we will be a much stronger voice for the bright future of Canadian Health Care. We look forward to making this journey together with you.
