The Health Informatics Training System (HITS), the world's leading online resource for acquiring a clear understanding of health informatics and its contribution to administrative and clinical best practice, is now available in Canada.
Provided through a partnership between COACH and Frontline Informatics Training, this version of HITS has been modified for use in Canada and is endorsed by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and NurseONE, a national, web-based health information service designed for the Canadian nursing community.

Content
The course consists of an introduction, specifically about health informatics in Canada (who's who, what's happening), and eight modules in the areas of IT Basics in Healthcare, Information Management in Healthcare and IT Systems in Healthcare. HITS is available in English only.
Upon successful completion of the HITS exam, students receive a certificate issued by COACH.
