HIMSS10: COACH Presents People - Most Valuable Asset

Be part of HIMSS10, the largest healthcare information technology conference in the United States at the Georgia World Congress Center. COACH supports HIMSS10 as a Collaborator.

COACH Rate
COACH members are eligible for preferred rates for HIMSS10 and the CPHIMS-CA Exam sittings at the conference. To obtain these rates, select COACH in the "Collaborating Organization" field and enter your COACH Membership Number on online registration or provide the same on paper registrations.

COACH Session March 3
Be sure to participate in the COACH's “People - Your Most Valuable Asset in Challenging Times” session from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. March 3. Mike Barron, CEO, Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information and Neil Gardner, CIO, Saskatchewan Health, will share their “been there, done that” expertise to focus on strategies and solutions for managing health informatics (HI) human resources in an increasingly complex environment and offer practical, real-life examples and data. Mike Rigo, also a COACH Board member and President, D3EH Inc., will moderate this session.

CPHIMS-CA Exams March 2 & 3
Pre-register with HIMSS by Feb. 12 to write these exams.

Interoperability Showcase Docents Wanted
Docents (tour guides) are needed for the Interoperability Showcase March 1 -3. COACH members can find the details on the Resources menu by logging on to the website. Other interested volunteers can contact Showcase Leaders Mike Nusbaum and Mike Glickman and/or complete the Docent Contact Survey.

HIMSS brings timely education and a solutions-focused exhibition to HIMSS10, held , including:

• extensive education sessions with continued emphasis on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and new topic categories on workforce development, regulatory compliance, clinical informatics and globalization.
• extended exhibit hours Monday through Wednesday to give attendees and solutions providers more time on the floor. Exhibits close on Wednesday evening with Thursday dedicated to education.
• Wednesday Exhibit Hall-Only pass for attendees who want to visit the exhibition for just this one day
