The Health Informatics and Health Information Management Human Resources Report estimates the current supply of and five-year demands for health informatics (HI) and health information management (HIM) professionals who have formal training or experience in working with electronic health information systems (EHIS).
The result of a collaboration between COACH and other organizations, the report was published in late 2009.
COACH is working to advance the use and results of the study and develop and promote tools to help organizations with their HI HR strategic planning through the HIP Resources Task Force. The task force is composed of six to eight COACH members with expertise and interest in strategic HR and labour risk management issues and co-chairs from private and public sectors.
